COM Art Gallery calls for entries in ‘Transformation’ photo exhibit
The College of the Mainland Art Gallery in Texas City is accepting submissions of lens-based photography works with the theme of “Transformation.” Selected works will be exhibited in the COM Art Gallery in conjunction with Fotofest 2018 in April.
Each artist is eligible to enter up to five lens-based works with the theme of “Transformation.” There is no entry fee, and the call for entry is open to all photographers without any geographical restrictions. Email your entry to mgray@com.edu.
The longer edge of the image should be approximately 2,000 pixels. Be sure to include artist name and contact information, actual dimensions and medium of the artwork and the insurance value of the piece. Any work that does not fit through the gallery door will not be accepted.
Juror for the exhibition will be Kristy Peet, a lens-based artist who lives and works in Houston. Peet is a professor of photography at COM and is a resident artist at BOX 13 Artspace whose work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the country.
Peet was born in Dallas and completed her undergraduate work at Austin College. She
graduated with an MFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
