"Always ... Patsy Cline" back by popular demand at COM Community Theatre
The fan favorite, "Always . Patsy Cline" will shine again at the College of the Mainland Community Theatre Jan. 29 to Feb. 15.
Weaving the true story of Patsy's Cline friendship with her number one fan, the musical
will thrill audiences with melodies that made Patsy Cline a star.
Showstoppers include "Crazy," "Walkin' After Midnight," "Sweet Dreams," "She's Got
You," "I Fall to Pieces" and many, many more.
A tribute to the singer's life, music and correspondence with her fan until her tragic
death in a plane crash at age 30, the play sparkles with humor, emotion and classic
tunes.
"It's our biggest box office hit and our audience has been asking us to bring it back
for years," said director Mark Adams. "Patsy Cline was a hugely popular country performer
but also a crossover star who did some early rock and roll. It's a fan favorite."
The play stars Amber Bennett, of Alvin, and Patty Talley, of Galveston.
Performances run Thursday to Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
