COM United Way Gift Basket Auction
COM is sponsoring an online auction of gift baskets to raise funds for our United Way Employee Campaign.
We invite all departments and groups (such as the Admissions Office, Social & Behavioral Sciences Department, Professional Council, etc.) to compete to see whose basket will bring in the most money for United Way. The winning team will be recognized.
Congratulations to the IT Department who won the 2017 UW Gift Basket Auction challenge by raising $390.50 with their Golf Basket.

All baskets must be completed and ready for photos by 11/1/18 at 5pm. Marketing will come to each department to photograph the baskets. Each basket must include an itemized list of contents and total basket value. The online auction begins November 5th and will end November 15th at 3pm.
We will be displaying the baskets a little differently this year. Each department will display their basket in their area. We will send a list of departments participating so everyone can go by and see the baskets before the auction starts.
Gift baskets make effective auction items because they can be customized. To maximize interest in a basket you are planning on presenting at the auction, create a theme for it. Here are some ideas:
- Sports Basket
- Coffee Basket
- Pet Gift Basket
- Movie Lovers Basket
- Food Basket
