COM Collegiate High School Student Earns Spot at Top Texas Universities
College of the Mainland (COM) Collegiate High School (CHS) student Grace Pope has recently been accepted into several top Texas universities, including the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Sam Houston State University and the University of North Texas. She has also received four-year scholarship offers from the University of Houston and Baylor University.

College of the Mainland’s (COM) Foundation will host its fifth annual Educate a Woman “Laughs for Lunch” scholarship fundraiser luncheon on March 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the COM Conference Center. The event will feature a guest comedienne and a raffle benefiting student scholarships.

First-year College of the Mainland radiologic technology (rad tech) student Robel Araya was recently recognized by the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Professionalism Committee for his exceptional efforts in the workplace. What started as a simple conversation led to a profound impact on a patient visiting UTMB Clear Lake, where Robel works as a rad tech assistant.

COM Original Theatre Production Earns Spotlight at College Theatre Festival
An original production, "FUNNY BONED -or- How I Learned to SCHTICK the Landing", written by College of the Mainland (COM) Theatre Program Director H. Russ Brown, has been selected to showcase as an invited production at the Region 6 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) taking place February 23-27 in Abilene, Texas.
