In observance of Black History Month, College of the Mainland (COM) is hosting a series of exciting student events throughout February. Highlighting the rich history and cultural impact of African Americans, these events all lead up to the featured community event, 'African Americans in Industry - Refineries and Engineering' on Feb. 27 at 12:30 p.m. in the Conference Center.

As the first-place winner, Luerson's design will now serve as the face of this year's festivities.

College of the Mainland (COM) is pleased to announce a donation by Mary Ellen and Charles T. "Chuck" Doyle and Texas First Bank in the amount of $100,000 for the Mitchell Chuoke Jr. Plumbing Program. During a check presentation at the College's Monday, Jan. 22 board meeting, the Doyle and Chuoke families joined COM officials to present a check for the program.
