Update: 11:15 a.m.

At approximately 8:28 a.m. this morning, a student reported a note found in the restroom of the Technical Vocation Building at the College of the Mainland (COM) campus indicating a bomb threat. The COM Police Department immediately evacuated the building. Local authorities, including the Texas City Police Department and UTMB Health K9, conducted a thorough investigation and found no safety threat in the area. The building was issued an all-clear at approximately 10:56 a.m. Instruction and campus activities now continue as normal.

At approximately 8:28 a.m. today, a student reported a note found in the restroom of the Technical Vocation Building at the College of the Mainland (COM) campus indicating a bomb threat. At this time, local officials including the Texas City Police Department are investigating the threat. More details will be shared when available.
