College of the Mainland Board Report: August 23, 2021
A regular meeting of the board of trustees of College of the Mainland was held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the COM Administration Boardroom – Room 129.
All Trustees were present.
Board Items of Interest
Dr. Nichols' recommendation brought forward and accepted for the Administration building to be named Doyle Family Administration Building. Click here to read more.
The following positions were approved:
- Irma Ortiz was approved for the position of professional tutor in the Tutoring Center
The Non-Contractual Positions Hiring Report was approved.
The board of trustees voted to set the proposed tax rate at a maintenance and
operations tax rate of .16530/100 and an interest and sinking rate of
.1024/100 for a total rate of .26770/100 for the 2022 tax year. The board is scheduled to vote to adopt the 2022 tax rate during the September 27, 2021, regular meeting. Click here to read more.
College of the Mainland's "Fiscal Analysis and Budget" as presented by the administration for academic/fiscal year 2021-2022 was approved.
The Exceptional Service Model was presented by Dr. Vicki Stanfield, Vice President of Student Services.
All other agenda items were approved.
The board adjourned for an executive session.
