Your COM Login Information
Your login information allows you to access a suite of online and network services, including D2L, WebAdvisor, Email, Office 365 and more. For additional information please view our ITS Policy & Regulations.
How do I log in for the First Time?
All COM users logging into their WebAdvisor or Email account for the first time must set up Multifactor Authenication (MFA) before they are able to log in successfully. You will need to know your COM username and initial password before you set up your password reset tools.
Retrieve your username and your COM ID.
What is my Username?
Your username consists of your first initial followed by your last name. If that username is already taken, your username will be first initial followed by your last name and a numeral. For example:
- johndoe
- If there was already a jdoe then the username would be jdoe1.
- Your Email username will be your username with ‘@com.edu’ appended to the end. In the above example your email username would be jdoe@com.edu or jdoe1@com.edu. Log into your COM Email.
What is my Initial Password?
All COM user’s initial password is their seven-digit COM ID number. If your COM ID number is, for example, 723, you must add four zeros in front of 723 to make it seven digits (0000723).
How do I change my password?
To change your password, and set up the password reset tool, browse to https://com.onbio-key.com.

If you ever forget your password in the future, you will be able to reset after verifying your identity using the Authenication app on your phone. If you are unable to recover your password through using MFA , please call the help desk at 409-933-8302.
Password Requirements
Passwords must be meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 8 Characters
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one number
Password Expirations
While student passwords do not expire, ITS recommends students change their password every 90 days.
