COM Sets All-Time Enrollment Record for the Fall 2023 Semester
Student enrollment for College of the Mainland (COM) has reached its highest ever in school history this fall with 5,779 students registered (as of Sept. 18) for credit courses and continuing education. A huge milestone for the College, this marks the first time since the start of COVID-19 that enrollment numbers have reached pre-pandemic figures.

COM Theatre Program Kicks Off 50th Season
The College of the Mainland (COM) Theatre program is celebrating its 50th season with a stacked lineup of performances. 'The Little Shop of Horror' will be showing early next year in February, followed by a world premiere, original farce by COM Theatre Director H. Russ Brown, 'Hooey-Hahs & Foofaraws' in April. Kicking off the season, 'The Best Worst That Can Happen' is a sweet, funny and heartbreaking yet hopeful show that has captivated audiences.

COM Collegiate High School Sets Record Enrollment
College of the Mainland (COM) will be seeing more high school students on campus than ever before. COM's Collegiate High School (CHS) program has set a record-high enrollment number with 301 students for the 2023 Fall semester. This number exceeds the enrollments of the previous Fall 2022 and Fall 2021 semesters by 30 percent.

Mainland Medical Center Auxiliary Donates $30,000 Toward COM Scholarships
Mainland Medical Center Auxiliary (MMCA) has made numerous generous donations to College of the Mainland (COM) for more than 25 years. MMCA reached a new milestone when they presented a check for $30,000 to COM during the College's April Board of Trustees meeting. This donation brought their monetary donation total to more than $328,000 toward phlebotomy, nursing and other allied health scholarships.

The Salon at College of the Mainland Hosts Senior Spa Day
Last Monday, the sounds of blow dryers and small talk filled the College of the Mainland (COM) Salon as cosmetology students serviced and pampered local senior citizens. Organized through efforts of COM's Student Life Department, this is the second senior spa day that the COM Salon has been able to host. Offering complimentary manicures and hair trims, students were able to apply the skills they've learned in class on well-deserving community members.
