Deadline Extended for Opening Doors Promise Scholarship
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, College of the Mainland has extended the application deadline to May 15, 2020 for the ApplyTexas portion of its Opening Doors Promise Scholarship. The scholarship allows every qualifying high school student residing in Texas City or La Marque to attend COM full time, tuition free and earn an associate degree or complete a workforce training certificate program.
Skipworths Establish IMPACT Scholarship

The couple’s gratitude gave them the idea to pay it forward. The couple has endowed the Sean & Melissa Skipworth IMPACT Scholarship. Sean Skipworth has been a Social and Behavioral Sciences faculty member at COM since 2012 and Melissa Skipworth is serving her first term on the COM Board of Trustees.
