COM Learning Locations
COM holds classes at the main campus in Texas City, five learning centers and six partnering high schools.
Main Campus
Located on 128 acres in Texas City, Texas, COM’s main campus comprises 17 buildings and seven condominium units at Appomattox Square, which house support services, instructional, administrative and physical education facilities.
COM Learning Center – North County
The COM Learning Center – North County in League City is comprised of two buildings for dual credit, continuing education and allied health classes. These buildings are 12,450 square feet.
The Salon at College of the Mainland
The Salon at College of the Mainland has three units at Gulfway Plaza in La Marque and provides 7,597 square feet of space for cosmetology classes and a student-operated salon.
Gulf Coast Safety Institute
The Gulf Coast Safety Institute Learning Center, which provides safety and workforce instruction, has 13,226 square feet of instructional space in La Marque.
COM Lifelong Learning Center
The COM Lifelong Learning Center in La Marque houses the College’s Community Education and 50 Plus Programs.
In addition to the facilities described above, the College holds classes, primarily for dual credit instruction, at local high schools including:
- Texas City ISD
- Dickinson ISD
- Santa Fe ISD
- Friendswood ISD
- Clear Springs High School in Clear Creek ISD
All of the high schools are in our service area, and Texas City, Dickinson and Santa Fe ISD are in COM’s taxing district.
